(al-Baqara,2:125)
And We laid emphasis on Ibrahim and Ismail: Purify My House for those who walk around it, and those who use it as a retreat, and those who bow down and prostrate themselves (in prayer).
On the occasion of Juma-tul-Wida on August 17 (28th of Ramadan), Sahibzada Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI’s Supreme Council, addressed the residents of 22nd Itikaf City currently being held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International in Township, Lahore. His speech was telecast live around the world by Minhaj TV and QTV.
On 15th of August, an international spiritual gathering of Layla-tul-Qadr was held in the Itikaf City of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered a special address and led a tearful Dua. In addition to thousands of the Mu`takifeen, millions of people traveled from all parts of the country to take part in the annual mega event of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. The complete proceedings of the program were telecast live around the world through ARY-QTV, Minhaj.TV and other TV channels
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that condition to love the Friends of Allah is cleanliness, piety, sincerity and love of Allah Almighty. Imam Basri says that when you think of befriending anyone, always think whether his friendship would stand you in good stead on the Day of Reckoning. There would be rat race at that time when even close relations would turn their back on one another. Parents, brothers, sisters and other relations would refuse to recognize one another. It would be pious people who would look after their friends. The Day of Judgment would be a picnic for them as they would be busy seeing their Lord and He would keep seeing them as well.
Sahibzad Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that existence of universe owes itself to Light of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.). He said that had Prophetic Light not emerged, Allah Almighty would not have created universe. It was because of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) that Allah Almighty turned unity into collectivity.
On the third day too, Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri continued his scholarly discourse on the subject of intention. He said that an intention can be at heart of many deeds, thus leading the worshipper to amass uncountable spiritual rewards of his actions. He said that a purer and sincere intention, free of worldly greed, bias, jealousy, and vested interest and underpinned by love of Allah Almighty, can be instrumental in earning spiritual rewards at a massive level.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din said that man is in eternal loss and it is not just one loss rather all losses have been mentioned here. This includes the loss power to that of personal belongings. The very fact of loss being so central to man’s existence, this is what hints at his mortality.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the process of man’s reform begins with intention. He said that the speed with which chaos, infidelity, and sin were increasing obliged one to work with the same speed to fight against these evils in a passionate and concerted manner. He underlined the need of making effort in this respect, adding that faith could not be saved from evil’s offensive with merely love and devotion.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that philosophy of oneness and unity deals with the origins of man. He said that the way man’s beginning was defective and temporary; his end is equally defective at the same time. He said that unity underlined the advent of the universe, in the same way when it would converge on unity after passing through its climax phase.
Shaykh-ul-Islam said that Islamic law emphasizes the role of intention as a basis of human actions and worships and no action can become pious unless it is founded on good and pious intention. The Holy Quran, he said, clearly states that if one wants to perform one’s actions, one should do them with sincerity and pious intention.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI’s Federal Council, has said that
place of Hazrat Ali (RA) in terms of knowledge and wisdom is unrivalled and exclusive
to him. He said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the City of knowledge while Hazrat
Ali (RA) is its door. He said that loving Hazrat Ali (RA) is to love the Holy Prophet
(PBUH).
The world’s second biggest Itikaf after the one held at the Two Holy Mosques in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia began in Lahore yesterday. Thousands of participants, both men and women, will spend their ten days and nights in remembrance of Allah in the Itikaf City organized under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International in Jamia Al-Minhaj, Township, Lahore. Separate arrangements have been made for the female participants of Itikaf City.

One of many purposes to be realized by religion is the purification and purgation
of self, soul and beliefs. It is for this purpose that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said
that he was raised as a Prophet for the perfection of moral excellence. It is in
this context that the ideal before the mankind is the attainment of highest moral
standards, which is possible through purification of self.
