Addressing thousands of the faithful attending the international spiritual gathering, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Allah Almighty loves those who remain awake at night in worship and seek His forgiveness. He said that according to a Hadith, this blessed night is superior to thousands of nights and this gift was only presented to the Holy Prophet’s (SAW) Umma. He said that those who pray for peace, forgiveness, and pleasure of Allah on this night have their prayers granted.

Addressing the thousands of the residents of Itikaf City through video link, MQI leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that he who holds his actions and behavior to accountability, all of his worries are removed. He said that the heartfelt acknowledgment of Allah's blessings teaches us to be thankful. When children are young their hearts have yet to be covered with the layers of the dunya. They are open and receptive and can be moulded in any form and manner. The young children sitting in itikaf through the Eagers platform have been listening to the beautiful lectures of Shaykh-ul-Islam and are then given extra spiritual training by their young and inspirational teachers. The purity and innocence of these children’s hearts is evidenced through the shedding of their tears.

Shaykh Abu Madyan Shu'ayb Al-Ghawth stated that I have read all of the books of the prophets, their companions and the great auliya. I have found that the thing that will bind you in spiritual proximity with Allah Almighty is Al-Ju‘ (hunger). Ibrahim ibn Adham also said Al-Ju‘ is the pathway to Allah.

Addressing the congregation of the last Friday of Ramazan, Chairman of MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that the salvation of the Muslims lies in adopting the path of faith. On the fifth gathering during the night of 25th of Ramazan at the Itikaf City, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri continued his lecture on spiritualism from Imam Ghazali's "Bidayatul Hidayah". He described the fifth meaning of piety and said that the journey towards reform and guidance starts off with piety. He said that there are internal and external aspects of the concept of piety. Provincial minister for religious affairs Sahibzada Sayyid Saeed-ul-Hassan Shah was the guest of honour at the session.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri drew on Imam Ghazali's famous book to continue his lecture on spiritualism in the fourth session of Itikaf being held under the banner of MQI. He described the meaning of piety by referring to a famous book of Sayyiduna Ghaus-ul-Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jillani. Deriving the definition of piety from a sage Al-Qasim bin Al-Qasim, Huzoor Ghaus-ul-Azam said that complying with commands of Shariah and protecting its sanctity is piety.

Chairman of MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, while addressing an educational and training session of the women residents of Itikaf City, has urged them to focus their attention on the learning of knowledge. He said that the extreme attitudes building in the society are due to the lack of education and training of the women. He asked the parents not to neglect their duty of educating their daughters, stating that national development is closely linked to the women’s participation in the national life within the limits set by Islam.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation has arranged medical camps in the Itikaf City 2019. Round the clock medical service is being provided to the residents during the ten days of Itikaf. Medical officers and paramedical officers are present on duty to cater to any medical emergency. Mutakif patients are given free medical treatment as well as medicines.

On May 27, President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri visited the women portion of Itikaf City where he addressed the huge gathering of women on the topic of "the role of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League in the reconstruction of the society.” He underlined the hugely critical role the women have to build a positive and tolerant society. Highlighting the various facets of the struggle waged by MWL, he said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri provided women a platform for articulation of their issues.
